We have joined Impact Startup Association as an official member

We are pleased to announce that our company has joined the Impact Startup Association as an official member, aiming to bring positive impact to society by balancing solving social issues and sustainable growth.

Background and purpose of joining Impact Startup Association

Since our founding in December 2015, we have built on our expertise in the area of sustainability, our global network, and our ability to build web media. We currently develop and operate 9 web media in multiple areas including sustainable business, circular economy, English education, finance, sustainable lifestyle, and sustainable tourism.

We emphasize the concept of constructive journalism in our media operations. Our goal has been to create a positive impact on individuals and society through the dissemination of information, focusing not only on issues facing society but also on solutions.

From 2020 onward, we have launched our Sustainability Circular Economy Support Program for corporations and municipalities in order to give shape to excellent ideas that will improve society. In 2021, the Company established Harch Europe, a business organization with members living in Europe, to serve as a link between Europe and Japan in the context of sustainability. In 2023, we obtained the “B Corporation™” international certification, which is given to companies with a high level of public interest, and in 2024 we started “CIRCULAR STARTUP TOKYO,” a start-up support program specializing in the Circular Economy.

By joining the Impact Startup Association, we expect to work together with the members of the association to further expand the circle of positive impact creation and sustainability initiatives that we have been promoting through our business.

What is Impact Startup Association?

An impact startup is a business entity that aims to both “solve social issues” and “grow sustainably.” The Impact Startup Association was established on October 14, 2022 with the aim of building an impact startup ecosystem and realizing a sustainable society.

The association aims to create an environment where many positive impact startups are born and grow continuously to create a better society, in collaboration with government, business, and government. And the association implements its activities in four pillars: “Sharing,” “Formation,” “Proposal,” and “Dissemination.” Currently, there are 138 impact startup companies that share the association’s mission and are regular members, and 11 supporting member companies, including both Japanese and foreign-affiliated companies, that agree with the purpose of the activities and support the expansion of the impact economy.
