IDEAS FOR GOOD, our web media dedicated to sharing ideas for making society better, is launching “Experience for Good,” a platform offering journeys that engage the senses and spark emotional connection.
This platform aims to create travel experiences that go beyond sightseeing, helping people discover their own way of contributing to a better future through deeply moving encounters.
We also welcome sustainable tourism programs from tour organizers, companies, and local governments, offering listing and promotional support. Please feel free to reach out to us.
Background: shifting from “reading” to “experiencing” media to address partner needs
As interest in sustainability becomes mainstream, fostering true understanding and behavioral change requires more than just intellectual knowledge. It calls for physical, on-the-ground experiences. IDEAS FOR GOOD has previously organized numerous socially conscious tours, and many participants have shared testimonials highlighting the transformative impact of these experiences.
“It was a time that stimulated my senses through a wealth of information that cannot be found online or in books. It was a journey that had a significant impact on my life.“(Tour participant A)
“I was able to deepen my understanding of the circular economy, which was my goal. I feel like I caught a glimpse of potential business models and a future for Japan’s circular economy.”(Tour participant B)
Today, many organizations aiming to build a sustainable society are offering hands-on learning opportunities through concepts like the circular economy and nature positivity. At the same time, we have received many concerns from these program providers: “Our program’s social value isn’t fully conveyed,” or “We want to reach people who share our vision, but we lack the right channels.” How can we effectively articulate the value we believe in? How can we connect with the people who genuinely resonate with that vision? Too often, incredible experiences remain unknown and underappreciated.
Until now, IDEAS FOR GOOD has served as a bridge between readers and society through written content. But we believe that in the age of AI, direct physical experiences will become the true core of media—something that cannot be easily replicated or replaced. That is why we are officially launching “Experience for Good” not only as our own project, but also as an open platform to surface powerful experiences and help our partners overcome the challenges they face.
Three key features of Experience for Good
Experience for Good addresses the challenge many partners face “wanting to reach people, but not being able to” with three unique assets developed by IDEAS FOR GOOD.
Value communication: editorial strength that turns experiences into stories
Why does this experience matter to society right now? Our editorial team uncovers the social value and narratives embedded in each program and translates them into compelling stories that move readers. Through pre-event articles and post-experience reports created with our editorial team onsite, we visualize and preserve the value of each program as digital assets.
Pre-event promotion: direct access to a highly engaged sustainability audience
We deliver your experience programs directly to the IDEAS FOR GOOD reader community, made up of individuals passionate about sustainability and social issues. This targeted approach enables us to attract highly motivated participants through high-quality matching.
Planning expertise: deep knowledge of sustainable tourism
Our team includes two certified professionals from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), a globally recognized standard in the field. Drawing on our experience planning and operating domestic and international tours, we offer comprehensive support from the design phase to enhance the value of your program.

Message from the co-editor-in-chief of IDEAS FOR GOOD
“No matter how sincerely we try to put things into words, some things simply cannot be fully expressed. As media producers, we have run into this wall many times. Perhaps this reflects a deep gap between ‘understanding’ something intellectually and the emotional shift that drives real change.
Breath, scent, texture, silence. Experiences carry something that cannot be captured in words. And I believe it is this very ‘something’ that moves us and transforms how we engage with the world.
By shining a light on carefully nurtured programs from tour organizers, companies, and local governments with our editorial expertise, and delivering them to a passionate reader community, we can create new reactions. I am confident that this synergy will become a force that moves society. I truly look forward to creating this wave of change together with all of you.”
