Circular Yokohama to hold online event “Circular Economy Lecture Series” with Kanagawa University

Circular Yokohama, a platform run by Harch to promote the circular economy in Yokohama, is holding a 3 part series of lectures from May with the cooperation of Kanagawa University.
The lectures will be held once a month starting May 24. Participants can comprehensively learn a bout the circular economy, from its basics to advanced case studies in Japan and overseas, as well as hints as to how Japan can implement the circular economy. Each session will have different lecturers. Circular Economy’s editorial department will serve as lecturers for the first session. The second session will be led by Akihiro Yasui, a leading expert on circular economy research in Japan, and the third session will be taught by Isao Kitabayashi, Representative of COS KYOTO Co., Ltd., a company that delivers business information to the world with Japanese culture as a base.
We look forward to participation from organizations, individuals, and anyone who has even the slightest interest in the circular economy.

Founded Harch Inc. in 2015. Harch runs various media for social good, including IDEAS FOR GOOD, a magazine that shares ideas for solving societal issues, Circular Economy Hub, a specialized media platform for the circular economy, and Circular Yokohama in Yokohama. He graduated from the education department of Tokyo University.

Isao Kitabayashi
COS KYOTO Co., Ltd. Representative
He serves as the Representative Director of Design Week Kyoto’s Executive Committee, as well as the director of Sustainable Business Hub. He is also a part-time instructor at Doshisha University. Through Osaka Gas and Globis University, he conducts research on culture and business at Doshisha Business School. He is a proponent of “Circular Edonomy,” a circular economy model that takes influence from Japan’s Edo period.
