The theme: “Human resource development and career design in climate crisis era”
The theme of this 13th event is “Human resource development and career design in climate crisis era.” The number of job openings for sustainability and ESG human resources is on the rise worldwide, and in Japan, the number of job openings for sustainability and ESG human resources has increased approximately five-fold compared to 2020 and 2023. On the other hand, looking at the employer side, it is a fact that the percentage of Japanese youth (aged 15-39) who want to work in the green economy is less than half the global average.
In other words, along with the rise in the value of sustainable human resources, the issue of how to secure “people,” the most important of the essential resources of organizational management (people, goods, and money), is becoming a challenge in the context of the climate crisis. Furthermore, in the trend toward human capital management, human resources are considered to be capital that creates new value, and human resources have a significant impact on the social value of companies and organizations, as evidenced by the mandatory disclosure of human capital information by major companies and the criteria used in investment decisions.
We are pleased to invite Emi Hayashi, the Executive Director of the Kamakura Sustainability Institute and Hoopus. and Eiko Kurachi, the Executive Director of Climate Creative and a member of Members, Co.
Hoopus. is a job information platform specializing in sustainability and climate change solutions, connecting people with “passion” to society, transcending all career barriers such as sector, industry, gender, and life stage. We also focus on supporting human resources in the non-profit sector. Members Inc. is committed to leading change toward a sustainable society through the power of creators. We develop and produce sustainability human resources with specialized knowledge and skills, and provide field-based support for corporate sustainability promotion (internal penetration, CO2 visualization, circular service development, etc.).
In this event, Hayashi and Kurachi will talk about the human resources required in the era of climate crisis, human resource development in companies and organizations, and career design in the sustainability field. Why is Hoopus. focusing on the non-profit sector? What is Members’ perspective on purpose management and human resource development? Let’s think together about the roles of both the corporate and non-profit sectors in the era of climate crisis, room for co-creation, and career design across sectors.
If you are concerned about securing sustainable human resources, seeking corporate/organization management in the era of climate crisis, or considering career development in the sustainability field, please feel free to join us.
Event Time / Date: 7:00 pm- / May 22
