On November 14, Harch CEO Yu Kato appeared at “Y-SHIP 2023,” an event organized by the City of Yokohama to promote Yokohama, a port city of innovation, to the world.

“Y-SHIP 2023” is an international convention that aims to promote open innovation by attracting the vitality of human resources and companies from Japan and abroad, especially in the GX field, together with colleagues from around the world to which Yokohama is connected. The convention was held over three days from November 13 to 15, and served as a showcase for a new society based on green innovation, powerfully communicating the image of Yokohama as a sustainable city to the world.

CEO Kato participated as a panelist in the session “Case studies and challenges in urban design incorporating Green Transformation” on November 14. Together with moderator Tove Kinooka (Enteleco Director) and panelists Eric Kawabata (TerraCycle Japan G.K. General Manager) and Eriko Yakushiji (Minato Mirai 21 District Heating and Cooling Co., Ltd. President and Representative Director), they discussed the benefits of conducting experiments and other activities in Yokohama for businesses related to sustainability.

We will continue to provide information on sustainability in Yokohama in the future.
