On December 16, 2024, Circular Yokohama, a platform promoting the circular economy in Yokohama, delivered a career education lecture to sixth-grade students at Mine elementary school in Hodogaya Ward, Yokohama City.
The school actively promotes career education by inviting professionals from various fields, helping students envision their future paths.
Mine elementary school is located just a 10-minute walk from Circular Yokohama’s activity hub “qlaytion gallery.” Circular Yokohama member shared insights on the life experiences that led them to careers in local community-building and sustainability.
Approximately 70 sixth-grade students attended the session, engaging in a lively discussion with questions such as, “How do you overcome challenges in your work?” and “Is there a philosophy you value in life?” Their curiosity and passion made for an inspiring exchange.
We hope this lecture provided valuable insights for the students as they explore their future career choices.
Moving forward, Circular Yokohama will continue to strengthen its educational support initiatives, fostering awareness of sustainability and the circular economy.
