Final demo & exhibition day for the second cohort of “CIRCULAR STARTUP TOKYO” to be held

We will host the Final Demo & Exhibition Day on March 7, the grand finale of the second cohort of CIRCULAR STARTUP TOKYO, a startup incubation program dedicated to the circular economy.
What is CIRCULAR STARTUP TOKYO?
CIRCULAR STARTUP TOKYO is a startup incubation program focused on the circular economy, operated under ‘TOKYO SUTEAM,’ a Tokyo Metropolitan Government initiative that fosters startups through diverse partnerships. Since its launch in April 2024, the program has served as a platform for building a new ecosystem to drive a circular future. It brings together startups and entrepreneurs in the circular economy field, alongside academia, experts, investors, corporations, and industry organizations.
The second cohort, which began in November 2024, features 16 teams and 20 participants selected from a highly competitive applicant pool. These participants are working on a diverse range of circular business initiatives, including sustainable material development, waste resource recovery, and circular service and platform creation. Throughout the program, participants have refined their visions and ideas through lectures by leading circular startup founders and experts, hands-on mentoring from industry pioneers, and collaborations with domestic and international circular economy organizations, major corporations, financial institutions, investors, and local governments. The first cohort successfully led to multiple startup launches, funding acquisitions, and business partnerships.
About Final Demo & Exhibition Day
As the culmination of the program, Final Demo & Exhibition Day will showcase pitches from the second cohort participants, alongside an exhibition of products and solutions from both the first and second cohorts. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the latest circular business innovations, including reusable container systems, circular materials, and sharing platforms. The event will provide an interactive space where visitors can explore products and prototypes, learn about new services, and witness the potential of the circular economy firsthand.
Through the pitches and exhibitions, the event aims to foster dialogue and connections among participants. Whether you are interested in the circular economy, seeking inspiration for new circular business ideas, or looking to build relationships within the circular ecosystem, we welcome you to join us.
